Event Details

Always wanted to be an artist? Join SOMArts for a participatory drawing event to accompany Man as Object: Reversing the Gaze and try your hand at “reversing the gaze”. All artistic skill levels and non-artistic observers are welcome. A Hapa male model will be drawn by the heightened vantage point of the audience. All drawings will be exhibited for the event.

Man as Object: Reversing the Gaze is a traveling survey  of 117 artworks debuting at SOMArts before traveling to the Kinsey Institute which place the male form in a position of objecthood and reverse conventional hierarchies in the culture of display.

A donation of $8 is suggested, but all are welcome to participate.

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
