Event Details

A young couple anxiously awaits the arrival of Percy Ent, the rich man in town who might be able to offer an escape from their dilapidated lives. But what price are they willing to pay in exchange for his generosity?

The One, Percy Ent introduces Algerian-American writer Tariq Hamami to the Bay Area with this gothic horror story that takes an unflinching look at the most American of vices, greed.

After the reading, there will be a talk back with Tariq Hamami and Torange Yeghiazarian.

This free staged reading is part of Golden Thread Productions’s New Threads Staged Reading Series.  This year’s series introduces four vital new voices to the Bay Area.

They invite you to laugh, cry, and think alongside these beautiful stories from and about the Middle East. Each play is teeming with unexpected humor, surprising characters, and important questions about the world people live in today.

Free but an RSVP is required.
