Event Details

Perpetual Motion is an immersive theatrical experience about the loneliness of moving and an expat from outer space. Written in the solitary haze of a move to Buenos Aires, this one-woman show explores the ephemeral communities we create as we try to find ourselves in an unknown city.

Using a combination of techniques stolen from sci-fi movies, experimental theater, and cooking blogs, Perpetual Motion invites the audience into an intimate experience in an alienated world. Staged anywhere but a traditional theater, the piece uses a unique form of audience interaction, incorporating audience participation without coercion. Perpetual Motion promises scifi exposition, translation errors, and a brownie for everyone.

The Spanish version of Perpetual Motion, Movimiento Perpetuo, has been performed in Argentina and is currently touring Colombia. This event will be a workshop of the English version of the play, in preparation for a February-March 2015 tour of the United States.
