Event Details

Do you have pest control questions? Keeping unwelcome critters out of your home and garden doesn’t have to be scary — join them for Pest Fest. They will have information on least-toxic pest control methods and products, expert speakers, and activities for all ages.

Get informed and inspired by guest speakers from Raptors Are The Solution (RATS), Pesticide Action Network North America, and the Alameda County Master Gardeners.

They hear from many people in their community who are uncertain how to safely deal with their pests. Pest Fest will explore the concepts of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). The IPM approach is multi-step, and involves careful monitoring, pest identification, implementation of least-toxic control measures, and evaluation of effectiveness. Patience, care, and cooperation are the keys to pest management, not pesticide use.

What else will be happening at Pest Fest? The Store will be showcasing their products to help you manage ants and other unwelcome household guests. They will have books to peruse, fact sheets you can take home, and all ages are invited to make a headdress of their favorite creature, whether pest or beneficial.

Join them for a fun and informative day — they look forward to seeing you at Pest Fest.
