Event Details

Mills College will present pianist Sarah Cahill on April 23rd, as part of “Music from the Fault Zone,” a four-day festival celebrating the history of experimental music at Mills College.

On Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 4pm, Mills College will present Cahill for a performance in the College’s “Music from the Fault Zone” festival. Cahill — along with Brenda Hutchinson, Laetitia Sonami, and Pamela Z — will perform Spirit Catchers, a work for four speaking voices, personal objects, and four channel amplification, by New Zealand-born composer Annea Lockwood. In her score for Spirit Catchers, Lockwood instructs four performers to bring an object with them to the performance, which they have owned for a long time.
