Event Details

Love guinea pigs? Those cute, fluffy rodents that look like oversized hamsters? Grab your pig and your lunch to a fun-filled gathering for guinea pigs and their owners on Saturday, August 22, 2015.

Tickets are $5 and includes two raffle tickets. All proceeds benefit local animal shelters and guinea pig rescues.

This event is organized by the Marin Humane Society and will feature:

  • Cavy Costume Contest
  • Adoptable Guinea Pigs
  • Vegetable Eating Contest
  • Raffle
  • Bake Sale
  • Health Checks
  • Grooming

Key things to remember:

  • Pigs only. Please do not bring other furry friends, including cats and dogs. They don’t want someone’s doggy making a snack out of another person’s piggy.
  • Remember to wear sun screen.
  • Remember to bring some sort of shade you can drape over your piggies’ cage, along with a water bottle. They will have communal pens for boys and for girls, but you should also bring a solo enclosure in case your pig gets too stressed out or is ill
  • All pigs must undergo a health check prior to being let into the communal pens
  • Naughty pigs will be removed from communal pens
