Event Details

The author Carlos Salomón, a Fruitvale resident and Director of the Latin American Studies Program at Cal State East Bay, will discuss his new book, Pio Pico, the Last Mexican Governor of California.

Pico held office before the U.S. Mexican War in 1846-48, and was of mixed heritage: African, Native American, and Spanish.
