Calvary’s 156-year-old church building hosts an open house during the Fillmore Jazz Festival. From noon to 5pm both Saturday and Sunday, visitors are welcome to take a breather from the Jazz Festival and enjoy free tours of original frescoes, tapestry, stained and faceted glass displays.
Additionally you can enjoy short (usually 20-minute) concerts featuring Calvary’s 6,000-pipe Kates/Aeolian organ. 20-minute Organ concerts given by Charles Worth at 2 & 3pm on Saturday; 2pm on Sunday, concluded with Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever”.
