“Play Like a Girl+” Sports Day in the Park (Piedmont)

The City of Piedmont is hosting its Inaugural Play Like A Girl+* event on Sunday, May 15 at Witter Field!
This FREE event is a fun, interactive day of getting girls ages 2-18 pumped to try out new sports. Athletes and coaches from approximately 20 different sports organizations will be offering hands-on activities so girls in our community can practice pitching, rowing, hitting, shooting and so much more.

It’s no surprise that girls who play sports have better standardized test results than non-athletes, or that female athletes go on to earn 7% higher annual wages than their non-athlete peers. Sports also helps boost self-esteem – our goal with the Play Like a Girl+ event is to empower girls and teach them that anything is achievable!

This year’s event will feature live demonstrations, professional athletes and fabulous raffle prizes on hand.
