Event Details

In this one-day workshop, students will learn and practice foundational drawing techniques while sketching the beautiful Trees at Ragle Park. Each student will choose a tree to draw, and then spend time rendering their subject while receiving instruction in proportion and other key drawing skills.

Once students have an established drawing, they will explore the light and shadow on their tree with watercolor.

Discover the meditative benefits of plein air art practice, hone your drawing skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for the natural world around you through close observation and intentional rendering. All materials are provided and all experience and skill levels are welcome!
