As part of the Hit Us With Your Best Shot photo series, Pig and Pie is throwing a luck-of-the draw poetry open mic.
The Challenge:
They’ll throw the names of all of our displayed photographs into a bucket. Participants will randomly pull a name out of the hat. A total of 35 minutes will be given for each writer to create an original piece based on the chosen photograph and perform it for the group. The audience will select the top five pieces. Those five will go on to perform a piece of their choice (5 minute max). The audience will select the top three.
The Reward:
Top Prize is a house made pie, 2nd place is a print from our show and 3rd place is a complimentary house beer float with Humphrey Slocombe Ice Cream. The top five pieces will be displayed next to the photograph until April 30th, the last day of our show.
This is an open mic event, please be present for sign up 30 minutes before start. Saturday March 14th from 4-6 pm.
