Pop-Up Plaza Celebration: Live Music & Free Food | Oakland

With all of the new hustle and bustle in Oakland’s emerging Uptown entertainment district and downtown Oakland, the timing is perfect to give some love to Latham Square and transform the space into a temporary pop-up plaza –  an exciting walkway for people to stroll.

The new space has planters, native landscaping, a painted street surface, trees, seating, and a large “Latham” sign constructed from re-claimed street signs throughout Oakland.

Event schedule:

• 12-12:15 pm: Meet and greet with music from Fanfare Zambaleta and food
• 12:15-12:40 pm: Speakers, Mayor Quan, Casey Farmer, Michelle Lane, Sarah Filley, Matt Passmore, and Jonathan Bair
• 12:40-1 pm: Mingle with food and music

Food is being provided by: Jimmy’s Deli, Awaken Cafe, Genshi and Bittersweet
