Friends of the Urban Forest invites you on a free walking tour of the trees of the historic Presidio of San Francisco.
Peter Ehrlich, forester of the Presidio, will guide the tour and discuss the history and greenery of this national park. Starting at Inspiration Point, you’ll see Andy Goldsworthy’s site-specific artworks, look at some new reforestation along West Pacific Avenue, then walk down to the Main Post and the Officers’ Club. From there, you can take the free PresidiGo shuttle back to Inspiration Point (departures every 30 minutes).
Bring comfortable shoes, water to stay hydrated, and sun protection. Please RSVP at FUF website.
