“Purple Rain Around the World” Simulcast Celebration

April 21, is the day Prince passed away. This year, join the Church of 8 Wheels as they present “Purple Rain Around the World”. They are planning to coordinate with one or more radio stations to play Purple Rain at 12 noon. They want to coordinate with everyone that has a portable stereo to take up spots on the Embarcadero, the Financial District, the Castro, Golden Gate Park, and other places and play Purple Rain throughout San Francisco. Let this be a moment where we all united as one. Not just here in San Francisco, but all over the world if that is even remotely possible.

Whether you are a roller skater in San Francisco or any other city or country to get involved with this effort. The streets will be empty. The music will be heard everywhere in cities around the world. We can do this with all the social distancing practices intact. Let’s unite the world if only for 8 minutes and 40 seconds!

From your house, your car, even in your headphones! Blast your Boombox and put your speakers in your windows and turn up the volume!
