Event Details

Savernack Street is a conceptual art gallery located in the Mission district that can only be accessed through a peephole. Open 24 hours, this is a perfect “date night’ destination;  just walk up and turn on the light and peer in.

About Savernack Street’s January Exhibit
A collection of twenty-four time-lapse videos featuring an hourglass as the subject, changing locations with each new beginning, our constant makes its way through a full days time before beginning again. Viewed via the peephole of a locked door, the complete film lasts one hour, but viewing any short segment of the piece experiences time accelerating past, along with our considered perception of our own time and its pace.

Opening receptions, like the one on January 17, 2015, are neighborhood street parties with refreshments and mingling. There will also be an artist talk at 6 pm.

It’s completely free with no RSVP required, and it does start and end precisely at the times specified.
