Event Details

Come create a diverse, multi-faceted space to grapple with the complexity of fathering with a quick, fun reading with “Rad Dad” authors pushing the conversation around fathering beyond a safe, apolitical place.

Joining Tomas Moniz and Jeremy Adam Smith are Shawn Taylor, Scott Hoshida, and they’ll start it off with a kids book reading with Gabe Winer and others. Authors will read for about five minutes each, and then we can have a discussion, and wrap-up by hanging out at an awesome space: Issues.

Rad Dad is a local zine about parenting and was SFBG’s Best Local Zine for 2011.

“If buying a gender-neutral pacifier is the most radical thing you’ve done as a parent, Rad Dad will nudge you back on track.” — SF Weekly.

“[Rad Dad] is sometimes entertaining, sometimes upsetting, but constantly thought-provoking. It will change the way you look at fatherhood, and change the way you look at fathers as well.”
— Punk Music Guide
