“Radiating Bruce Lee” Free Film Night at Historic 1920s Theatre (Chinatown)

Kick of the new year with a FREE community event hosted by the Chinese Historical Society of America as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the epic film about wing chun kung fu master Ip Man, Bruce Lee.

This 2013 martial arts drama film is directed by Hong Kong legend Wong Kar-wai and stars Tony Chiu-Wai Leung and Zhang Ziyi. Set in the turbulent 1930s-’50s, the film contemplates the role of martial arts amidst war. Joining the stellar cast is a who’s who of Hong Kong film greats, including action choreographer Yuen Woo-ping and longtime Wong Kar-wai collaborator William Chang taking on editor, production designer and co-costume designer duties.
