Event Details

Nearly every Wednesday, the Long Haul, a Berkeley resource center and community space for radical grassroots activists, hosts a free Radical Movie Night usually to show foreign flicks that you may have missed.

No One Knows About Persian Cats (2009)

Fresh on the heel of their prison release, an Iranian guy and girl decide to form a rock band. Their group is not allowed to play in their homeland and it is illegal for them to leave their country to play their music abroad (because of probation). Despite having drive and ambition to spare, the wannabe rockers are stymied by lack of passports, lack of funds and lack of musicians who are willing to leave Iran in this drama from Bahman Ghobadi.
