Event Details

Arguably, without San Francisco, Charles Pierce would not have emerged as the 20th Century’s foremost female impressionist. The City was the first to embrace and nurture Pierce’s pioneering act that would eventually make him a celebrated stage, film (Torch Song Trilogy) and TV star. He died in 1999. Kirk Frederick, the author of “Write That Down! The Comedy of Male Actress Charles Pierce (Havenhurst Books, 2016”) will share rare clips, delicious anecdotes and untold onstage antics of this indelible, brilliant performer.
