Normally a two-night sold out show at the Castro Theatre, for 2020 “Lost Landscapes” is going online with a virtual screening on December 16th at 5pm Pacific.
Filmmaker Rick Prelinger curates exciting archival film footage, historical clips, and vintage home movie discoveries of “lost” San Francisco along with evergreen favorites for this feature-length movie premiere. Lost Landscapes reveals San Francisco’s people, neighborhoods, infrastructures and celebrations from Rick’s unique archivist’s perspective, with material ranging widely in time from the early 20th century through the 01980s.
Rick will be joining us live on chat with you, the audience, so come prepared to identify places, people and events, to ask questions and to engage in spirited real-time repartee with fellow viewers.
