Come to Japantown’s newest free movie offering, shown on an outdoors screen at the lovely Peace Plaza.

SHOWING THIS WEEK: Tokyo Godfathers, a movie set around Christmas in Tokyo, Japan. Three homeless friends: a young girl, a transvestite, and a middle-aged bum. While foraging through some trash, they find an abandoned newborn. The next day they start tracking down the parents, with many adventures along the way.

Rotten Tomatoes.com culled all that the critics had to say about this movie and gave its Certified Fresh label, calling it a “Touching and sentimental anime.”
