Subterranean SF: Harboiled Fiction with an Edge | SF

City Lights Books is putting on an speakeasy-type crime-fiction book reading night on November 18th.  But to even find out where the event is taking place (it’s not at City Lights) you’ll need to go to the bookstore on November 15th and ask for the person at the counter for “the black envelope.”

Inside is an invitation and a map to get to the undisclosed location that hosts the event (on 11/18). If that isn’t bent enough for you, the event is hosted by the diabolical Peter Maravelis, one of my favorite local raconteurs.

Full Details on How to Get an Invitation

About the Event:

Litquake and City Lights present an evening of darkly inspired readings exposing San Francisco’s sinister underbelly. Join a hard-hitting roster of literary and crime fiction masters as they delve into the shadowy realms of mayhem, murder, and much, much more.

Hosted by Peter Maravelis with readings by Robert Mailer Anderson, Cara Black, Craig Clevenger, David Corbett, Don Herron, and Peter Plate
