Return of the Cypher (ROTC) is free live Hip-Hop show every Sunday at the Boom Boom Room that features an ever-changing lineup of artists and improvised sessions (know as “cyphers”) where beatboxers, emcees, and musicians collaborate in a spontaneous combustion of soulful skill.

Boom Bap Session | ON HIATUS: “Return of the Cypher” Hip-Hop & Beatbox Jam | Boom Boom Room

Join on Sunday, March 9, 2014 for ROTC’s Boom Bap Session. DJs, producers and beatmakers will take the stage to exhibit their creations as the ROTC emcees trade bars.

They’ll have a special guest performance from Stanley Ipkuss, a literal emcee who holds down the party with songs that demand attention with danceable beats and fresh lyricism.

Davu & Bottom Hammer deliver a live performance of original music plus live renditions of classic Hip Hop beats for the Cypher.

DJ Kevvy Kev gets the party in high gear, dropping the greatest jams of all time as well as mixing seamlessly with the live band.
