Event Details

The fourth annual Romanian Film Festival and discussion forum features a selection of films by award-winning filmmakers while also introducing new artists. The audience will have the opportunity to view and experience the complex aspects of Romanian cinema.

The festival will include special guests Cristina Flutur and Cosmina Stratan, actresses in Cristian Mungiu’s “Beyond the Hills,” winners of the best actress award at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, and Serban Oliver Tataru, director of feature documentary “The Anatomy of a Departure.”

The screening takes place in the Coppola Theater.

Schedule

  • 2:15–3:15pm: Romanian New Wave Cinema. Meet the actors: Cristina Flutur and Cosmina Stratan
  • 6–8:30pm: Screening of Beyond the Hills
  • 8:30–9:15pm: Q&A with Cristina Flutur and Cosmina Stratan. Moderator: Professor Steve Kovacs
