Event Details

Rough readings are the first step in the development of a play. Rough readings allow the playwrights to get a feel of of the play onstage, and get audience reactions and input. So come out and join Playwrights Foundation in Bekah Brunstetter’s rough reading of House of Home.

Please stay put afterwards for a question and answer session with the playwright, while enjoying free booze and cookies.

Inspired by the true story of the tragedy of the Maxwell family murder / suicide, HOUSE OF HOME explores tragedy in an idyllic small town. Welcome to Campbell Hill’s annual Peanut Festival featuring live music, peanuts, and games. A small Southern town forced to examine itself after a shocking tragedy, and must look to their faith and sense of community to carry on. Our Town meets Krispy Kreme.
