“Sampaguita Sunday” Rock Camp Fundraiser (SF)

Show from 2:00-4:00pm with one intermission
Sampaguita Rock Camp was created in 2022 as a space where Filipinx girls and gender-expansive youth can learn, play, write, and perform music in the community.
Its Junior Year kick-off is on August 29 – but the girls still need a bit of help to keep the camp efficient and running.
We are raising $5,000 toward camp costs.
Every dollar goes toward teacher stipends, scholarships, supplies and community venues.
Sampaguita Rock began when Filipino-American mom Lisa Rockefeller recognized the need for a community youth music camp when her young daughter began drumming during the pandemic. Friends, family, and artists in her community came together to set up the camp. Among its co-founders are musicians Tanya Marciana Alota, Marian Macapinlac,and DJ Les Talusan.
