San Francisco Art Fair 2025 at Fort Mason (April 18-20)
San Francisco Art Fair, the Bay Area’s longest-running modern and contemporary art fair, returns to Fort Mason Festival Pavillion from April 17 – 20. In its 13th year, the event’s evolution is a direct affirmation of the fair’s commitment to the thriving arts ecosystem that defines the Bay Area.
Tickets
The fair will present 88 leading galleries from around the world alongside a dynamic series of public programming. Such items include:
- The 2025 fair is dedicating attention to uplifting East Bay artists and galleries with a special curation from pt.2 Gallery’s Brock Brake presenting works from Alicia McCarthy and Magnolia Editions, Ryan Whelan, and other Oakland based artists.
- San Francisco Art Fair is thrilled to kick things off on opening night with a performance from California artist Marc Horowitz.
- Museum of Craft and Design’s Mobile MakeArt Van will present a hands-on block printing activity inspired by their current exhibition RugLife, for families on Sunday, April 20.
- Echoes, an experiential on-site mural by artist Erlin Adones Geffrard, will pay tribute to the underground art movements that shaped the Bay Area, including the Bay Area Figurative Movement, Funk Art, Abstract Expressionism, and the Mission School.
- The 2025 San Francisco Art Fair Theater will be designed by Bay Area architect Anand Sheth. PJ Gubatine Policarpio of Root Division will curate the art presented inside the theater, exploring social issues such as labor, migration, and ecological crisis.
- Panels include:

- Katie Hintz-Zombrano, founder of Mother Magazine hosting a panel on motherhood and art
- Monetta White, Director of the Museum of African Diaspora(MoAD) and Founder of NEXUS SF/Bay Area Black Art Week will be joined by artists and gallerists to discuss the week’s impact.
- Bay Area cultural leaders from the Asian Art Museum, ICA San Francisco, GLBT Historical Society and MoAD will come together to discuss how museums and institutions focused on historically excluded groups can remain steadfast and accessible to their communities during political tumult.
- Other key themes include East Bay creativity, technology, investing in Black art, design and creativity.
