2018 SF Bay Flyway Festival: Wildlife & Birding Celebration | North Bay
Wildlife enthusiasts will gather together from all parts of the Bay Area for the 22nd Annual Flyway Festival.
2018 San Francisco Bay Flyway Festival
February 9-11, 2018 | All day
Mare Island, Expo Building 253, 575 Connolly St, Vallejo
Please note for 2018 the festial begins February 9 (not January 9) as was previously listed.
The festival celebrates the migration through San Francisco Bay of more than 1 million shorebirds and hundreds of thousands of ducks, geese, hawks, songbirds and other wildlife at the peak of migration. In the North Bay, much of the wildlife habitat is off-limits except during the Flyway Festival. It features 3 days of guided and self-guided birdwatching outings in the 5 county “north shore” of San Francisco Bay, a Wildlife Expo Hall with live presentations & booths full of artisans, non profits and governmental agencies, the annual “Bay Area Wetlands to Ridgetops” Art Show, Silent Auction, kids activities, and lots of local and regional venues open for tours on Mare Island and beyond.
Check their site for upcoming details.
> 2018 Schedule of Activities – in the past, almost all events were free except for a few museum admissions, we expect it to be the same this year.
