In honor of National Pollinator Month and our buzzy little friends that make our honey and most of our lovely flowers bloom, San Francisco City Hall lights up yellow and black on Tuesday, June 18th.
We don’t know exactly what it will look like (this photo here is just a poorly-photoshopped guess) But here’s a rare chance to get your Instagram ready to take a stunning photo of the beautiful City Hall building decked out in yellow and black.
Every evening at sunset, over 220 state-of-the-art LED lighting fixtures illuminate City Hall’s exterior. Normally, a soft white glow shows off the play of light and shadow on the full façade and dome. Frequently, special plaza façade lighting schemes honor or celebrate events, seasons, and holidays.
