San Francisco Ferry Building Mushroom Festival (Oct. 24-27)

A four-day event featuring cooking demos, author talks, food specials and more!

Far West Fungi and the Ferry Building are teaming up to throw the San Francisco Ferry Building Mushroom Festival from October 24-27, 2024. The event will feature all things fungi — from cooking demos to author talks, food specials, wine tasting, and Halloween-themed activities like the Mushroom Masquerade on Friday night. Plus, admission to most of the event is free (drink and tasting tickets are sold separately)!

Thursday, 10/24: Kick-off Day

Features: Merchants spotlight mushroom-themed items and art installations showcasing

mushrooms.

Friday, 10/25: Mushroom Masquerade

Time: 5-8 PM

This event requires a $33.85 paid ticket. Register here!

Activities: Don mushroom-themed garb and enjoy small bites from Ferry Building merchants and local restaurants, plus a wine tasting from Napa Valley Vintners.

Saturday, 10/26: Cooking & Medicinal Day

Cooking Demo: Maria Finn, chef and author, will demonstate mushroom-based receipes in the Foodwise Classroom inside the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.

Medicinal Talk: Christopher Hobbs will discuss the health benefits of mushrooms in the

Port Room.

Additional Highlights: Farmers Market vendors will feature mushroom-themed menu cards.

Far West Fungi Pop-Up: Far West Fungi will have a pop-up cafe with live music.

Sunday, 10/27: Family Fun Day

Activities: Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating, a scavenger hunt, face painting and Halloween crafts with a mushroom twist. RSVP here!
