The San Francisco Free Folk Festival has been always been run by the San Francisco Folk Music Club. It’s been happening since 1977, when the first festival was staged at the Hall of Flowers. We’ve been known to have between 2,000 and 3,000 guests attending the event.
The 47th annual San Francisco Free Folk Festival will be live and in-person in Golden Gate Park on Saturday, July 8, 2023 with 5 stages of music and performances. The 2023 festival program is now available for viewing, as well as information about the festival site.
All ages and musical interests are welcome at the festival. All events and workshops are open to anyone who wants to participate or just listen. Admission to everything is free!
