Golden Gate Bridge | Battery Cranston Rd, San Francisco, CA

Free / RSVP

On Friday, August 21, there will be a ceremony honoring lives lost to the two pandemics in America. March to the Golden Gate Bridge for a vigil to honor the dead by fighting for the living. 1,000+ Americans are still dying every day. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Meet- up at Crissy Field at 5:30 pm and at around 6 pm, we will march across the Golden Gate Bridge in solidarity with New Yorkers, who will be finishing a march across the Brooklyn Bridge. Several other cities are planning marches across their own iconic bridges at 6 pm local time. See marchforthedead.org for our list of demands, starting with Donald Trump’s resignation.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact us by emailing vigilmarch15@gmail.com. Whether you are able to march or not, please consider a donation for supplies, including yellow umbrellas and flowers.

Wear yellow. Bring flowers or art to leave behind. Come early to write a loved one’s name on a yellow umbrella to carry across the bridge. Masks required, and please maintain physical distance during rally and march.
