Explore the unique qualities that have made San Francisco’s landscape what it is, while getting to know the local geology and munching our way through edible seismic science activities.
Discovery Street Tours are adventurous strolls for inquisitive souls, exploring science on the street in San Francisco. On this tour you’ll visit some stellar rock formations that draw geologists from around the world, and you’ll gain a new appreciation of the city’s legendary landscape.
You’ll meet in Dolores Park at 20th and Church Streets, near the Muni stop. The hike is about 2.5 miles long including moderate hills.
