Event Details

You’ve seen theater in the parks but a new company is doing one better: putting on plays in bars!

San Francisco Theater Pub offers free admission to The Lovecraft Festival, a three night series of adaptations (presented radio play style) of work by horror and “weird fiction” novelist H. P. Lovecraft.

TODAY’S PERFORMANCE: There will be three shorts.

  • Pickman’s Model,” about a Bostonia painter who creates horrifying images; adapted and directed by Nathan Tucker.
  • The Hound,” in which two friends have a morbid interest in robbing graves and create a macabre museum in their basement; adapted by Ignacio Zuleta.
  • The Call of Cthulhu,” where the narrator discovers notes left by a deceased relative about an extraterrestrial entity; adapted by Nirmala Nataraj.

All performances begin promptly at 8pm, and seating is limited (so arrive early, like, at 7:30).

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
