The first ever gallery showing of the Kenneth Cathcart photography collection will be proudly hosted at Jeff gallery throughout the entire month of May.

San Francisco—Lost and Reclaimed, the Kenneth Cathcart Images is a collection of photographs acquired by Schein and Schein Antique Maps and Prints.

Kenneth Cathcart was a significant historian, map maker and photographer during the 20th century. He photographed numerous locations throughout the San Francisco area from 1935-1958 and his entire collection is estimated at 7,500 professional images taken throughout his lifetime. The 30+ images on display at Jeff are predominately from 1936-1945. These dramatic, personal, and intimate viewpoints of the greatest city in the world are represented in each shot from the Barbary Coast, Northbeach, and Chinatown.

These never before seen Black and White photographs will be on display at Jeff from May 1st to May 30th. There will be an opening reception on May 1st at 6PM located at 1317 Grant Ave in San Francisco.
