Sanchez Art Center “Zander Bice: Reality-Fantasy” Opening Reception (Pacifica)

Sanchez Art Center, Pacifica— Reality | Fantasy, the first solo exhibition of works by Zander Bice, with portraits in oil and inventive drawings depicting an imagined world that parallels American life;  Soft Power, a group exhibition showcasing the depth of work being created at Sanchez Art Center by Sanchez Studio Artists; and, Elements of Life, a themed show by the members of the Art Guild of Pacifica, will open concurrently on Friday, July 11, with an evening reception from 7 – 9 pm.  The Friday night reception is free and open to the public and will include live music by The Flying Salvias.

Bice, (b 1988) — trained as an illustrator at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena — currently conducts his art practice in Berkeley.  He is the grandson of Spanish painter and royal portraitist Ricardo Macarrón.  On the last day of all the exhibitions, Sunday, August 10, the closing program will begin at 3:30 pm with a conversation in the Main Gallery with Zander Bice and exhibition curator Alida Bray.
