Event Details

San Francisco Theatre Pub presents The Dragon, a fairy tale satire of bad government, directed by Bennett Fisher from Evgeny Shvarts’ masterpiece.

A monumental play in the Russian theater from the Soviet period, THE DRAGON has been largely overlooked in the United States, but its story of good intentions and bad governance still resonate.

About The Company: SF Theater Pub
This company has specific guidelines about what kind of plays it puts on and they’re very telling. For example: Plays must be no longer than the time it takes to finish a beer. Plays must take place in a bar and must respect the bar space. Plays must have no more than three actors and at least one of the characters must be drinking a beer during the scene. The play is over when a beer is finished.
