Saturday Mt. Davidson Hike | SF

This weekend, we will be hiking the hidden beauty that is Mt. Davidson. Boasted as the highest natural point in SF, Mt. Davidson also holds a 103-foot concrete cross at the crest of the hill to commemorate the Armenian genocide. There will be an uphill slope to get to the cross and the overlook, but it is well worth the effort!

We will meet at the trailhead, which is a set of stairs that is sort of hidden. Use the address 286 Juanita Way to navigate to the meeting point.

This is in a residential area with narrow streets and limited parking. Please be mindful of space and noise when you arrive. Make sure you have a layer or two, a bottle of water and sun protection.

We will also be making this a “themed” hike for fun, so please wear the color PURPLE anywhere on your body!

Get to know the city’s gorgeous public parks and make some new friends while you’re at it! Proven to lift mood, boost longevity and even improve your sleep, spending time outdoors is one of the most accessible ways to enhance your quality of life. Join in on the trails with us and feel the difference even a short jaunt through the park can make.

All are welcome to join. The volunteer adventure leaders will make sure you have a good time, no matter your skill level. All trails are accessible unless otherwise noted. There’s no cost to participate, and you don’t need to register — just show up at the meeting point and they’ll all set off together.
