Event Details

Join the Shared Schoolyard Project and Supervisor Mark Farrell at New Traditions Elementary School on Saturday, November 19 from 11am-1pm for an exciting kick-off event marking the grand re-opening of the schoolyard for the public to use on weekends. The event will include games and activities for the whole neighborhood, free lunch, and a ribbon cutting ceremony.

So far, exciting community partners and activities include:

  • ANTS Tennis: Tennis activities
  • Bricks 4 Kidz: Lego activities
  • Buchanan YMCA: Schoolyard games
  • Hi-Five Sports Zone: Frisbee golf activities
  • The Culinary Dude: Playing with food
  • Tree Frog Treks: Bringing along live critters
  • Wee Scotty: Sewing activity
  • Community Youth Center: Earthquake education
