Event Details

SCLOrk (the Santa Clara Laptop Orchestra) turns four this spring. You never know what will happen at a SCLOrk concert. All you know is that you will see a stage full of computers, loudspeakers, cable spaghetti, and humans making sound.

SCLOrk is a computer music ensemble dedicated to experimental electronic music composition and performance.

Their intrepid student performers are interdisciplinary musicians using cutting-edge technology to explore the intersections of music, creative coding, engineering, and computer science.

This year’s music selection might include: a theremin solo/duet/duel, a piece based on an electronic voting system, a performance on light-sensing styrofoam cups, and, of course, an alien abduction.
