The Scraper Bike Movement invites you to the Grand Opening of “The Shed” located at MLK Library brand in Oakland on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

Festivities begin at 12 pm, with a group bike ride starting at the 81st Avenue Branch Library, 1021 81st Ave., and proceeding along the Bay Trail, winding up at the “The Shed,” located at MLK Library, International Blvd & 69th Ave.

Upon arrival, the party will begin, featuring traditional and vegetarian BBQ, bike-blender smoothies (from a blender powered by bicycles), bike-streamer crafts, bubbles, games, prizes, and more from 2-4 pm at the MLK Branch. Attendees are encouraged to bring out their best scraper bikes.

The Scraper Bike Movementmovement seeks to capture the creativity of youth living in dangerous communities. It gives them a positive outlet that is fun, educational and promotes healthy lifestyles.
