Sea Chantey Sing-Along at SF’s Historic Maritime Museum
Sailors and scallywags alike gather around for an evening of traditional sea songs and chanteys for the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park’s monthly chantey on the first Saturday night of each month from 6-9pm with entry beginning at 5:30pm.
Park rangers will lead the public in traditional sea-faring tunes with lots of socializing aboard an historic ship, the 1890 steam ferryboat, Eureka. at the Maritime Museum, 900 Beach Street, foot of Polk. The evening typically includes free hot cider for singers (that means you).
So make sure to RSVP by emailing peterkasin5@gmail.com. Bring a mug for the cider and don’t forget warm clothes for an evening of sailor songs under the stars.
We strongly recommend everyone to be fully vaccinated & boosted, masked, and to dress very warmly as the ferry Eureka’s large sliding doors will be open to promote air circulation for further Covid safety.
