Celebrate World Sea Turtle Day during a night of interactive educational displays, expert speakers, and films by the Sea Turtle Restoration Project.

Learn about these magnificent, gentle creatures and discover ways that you can help protect their dwindling populations from extinction. See for yourself how a turtle excluder’s design helps free turtles inadvertently caught in fishing nets, take a closer look at sea turtle specimens from the Academy’s collections, and meet champions of turtle conservation.

Special discounted evening admission to the California Academy of Sciences on Thursday evenings with unique special events each week.

  • Thursdays, from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
  • Tickets are $12 ($10 for Academy members). Last entry is 9:00 pm.
  • 21+ with Valid ID.
