Event Details

Rising rents, sky-scraping developments, ever-widening wage gaps? Bestselling author and founder of Salon, David Talbot, will discuss the modern identity and values of the city that Grace Cathedral and its community calls home – and whether the city is facing an existential threat or just more of its signature change.

Talbot’s book, Season of the Witch, deals with how “San Francisco values” (such as tolerance and experimentation) came into being and changed the world, but also how the 1967 Summer of Love gave way to a winters of discontent.
