Join us at COL Gallery to celebrate Black History Month with Dr. Lakeysha Hallmon, EdD, as she discusses her new book, “No One is Self-Made: Build Your Village to Flourish in Business and Life.” Learn how building a strong support network is crucial for success, especially for entrepreneurs.

Dr. Hallmon will be joined by Key Jo Lee, Chief of Curatorial Affairs and Public Programs at MoAD, who will moderate this special event on Saturday, February 22 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Books will be available for purchase at the event. Following her talk, there will be an interactive Q&A and book signing.

Dr. Key’s organization, “The Village Market”, has served over 1,440 businesses and facilitated $8.8 million in direct sales to Black-owned enterprises. Her nonprofit, Our Village United, offers grants, mentorship, and technical assistance to Black-owned businesses.
