Cindy Shih is a representational artist living and working in San Francisco. Her work comes from a place of empathy: a sincere urge to connect, communicate, and create for others. Her paintings have been featured in juried shows and galleries in the Bay Area. Most notably, at Arc Gallery and Studios in SoMa, Sanchez Art Center, SoMarts Main Gallery, Seed Gallery, Embassy SF, and Studio 110 Projects. In 2014, her mixed media piece received the title of “Best of Show” at the annual MFA/BFA show at the deYoung Museum in San Francisco. In addition to teaching, she also hosts a quarterly art salon which brings together the worlds of visual art and classical music around specific themes in a private setting in San Francisco.
