Event Details

Sixth Street is down.

Sixth Street is out.

But it’s also home—home to over a thousand people: artists, families, workers, and neighbors who refuse to be defined by anyone else’s narrative.

“Sense of Sixth” marks the inaugural exhibition at 6M Gallery, a new community arts center in the heart of SoMa.

This debut show features work by the residents of Sixth Street themselves—art that speaks with honesty, urgency, and pride. Through their work, these artists tell their own stories: unfiltered, unpolished, and full of life.

The spirit of its people—and their hope—is still alive.

And their art is its voice.
