Event Details

This is the second talk in a new series at Modern Times, State of the City Forum featuring a panel of guest authors and activists discussing the issues of concern to residents of the Mission and citywide in a rapidly changing San Francisco.

San Francisco Poet Laureate Alejandro Murguia heads the panel of artists and activists including Tracy Parent of San Francisco Community Land Trust, organizers and community members involved in the campaign to correct injustices in hiring and customer service by a ” local” chain of businesses, and a visual artist to be announced.

This is an ongoing discussion of displacement and the desecration of community and cultural resources, from the Fillmore to the Mission District.
