Taste & Toast Around The World | East Bay
The Town of Danville takes you on a tasting tour around the world with their Taste and Toast food and wine tasting series.
There is often a talk accompanying the food, and everything is included with your admission. It’s $5 in advance for Danville residents, $6 in advance for non-residents, or $8 at the door.
2014 Taste and Toast
- March 13 – Ireland
- May 15 – Chile
- July 24 – Greece
- September 25 – Germany
The Town of Danville’s Taste and Toast series heads to South America for its next excursion to experience the culture, cuisine and people of the beautiful country of Chile. A Taste and Toast of Chile is the third in the successful series which takes residents to faraway lands to learn more of the history, culture and heritage of these exotic locales.
Some of the events planned for the evening include:
- Jonathan Reimer will be on hand as Master of Ceremonies and to speak to participants about the savory wines of Chile.
- Grupo Araucaria will take to the floor to demonstrate the beauty of Chilean dance.
- An expert from the Bancroft Gardens will give a presentation on the soil and native plants of Chile.
