Come learn the basics of biking in San Francisco at the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition’s Urban Biking Basics Class. In partnership with JUMP, the SF Bicycle Coalition is offering a time to get to know biking in your city.
Bicycle Coalition Free Workshop: Intro to Urban Biking w/ Jump Bikes

- Preparing to ride
- Rules of the road
- Safety skills & tips
- Riding electric-assist bikes
- Route planning
- Locking and protecting your bike
- How to use the JUMP Bikes system
- JUMP Boost program for low-income participants.
The first half will be in the classroom, and the second half will be on-bike. The experts at the SF Bicycle Coalition will answer your questions on the rules of the road, route planning, and how to make everyday biking a part of your life, and then you’ll go for a ride on JUMP bikes.
This course is a great class for people who already know how to bike but are considering bicycling more in the city.
All participants will get a free helmet and a promo code good for a $10 credit in the JUMP Bikes system. Additionally, the SF Bicycle Coalition will raffle off 4 promo codes for $100 each towards JUMP Bike rides.
No bicycle is necessary for this class, although indoor bicycle parking is available.
